Premium Review Jarno Trulli: Consistently quick driver (198 words)
by - written on 16/01/08 (Useful, 34 readings)
Rating:

Jarno Trulli is a racing driver from Italy racing for the Toyota team. He does a great job because he races well with cars that are not the quickest ones on the track. When Jarno raced for the Renault team in 2004 he showed what he could do with a good car, finishing 6th in the drivers championship and winning his first race at the hardest track to win at which was Monaco and ending Michael Schumacher's run of wins. Despite coming a great 6th in the championship, Jarno did not have the opportunity to score points in the second half of the season so he split with Renault before immediately joining the Toyota team where he went into a race seat for the last 2 races of the ...  Read the complete review

To be or not to be? (351 words)

When Jarno Trulli came into Formula 1 he was regarded by many as the next big thing. Young and quick, he caught the eye of some major team owners due to his ability to adapt to a car, while off the track the press immediately noticed his strong physical resemblance to Ayrton Senna. Trulli began his career by winning Italian and then World Karting titles. In 1995 the then Benetton team boss Flavio Briatore spotted his talent and paid for the young Italian to race in German Formula 3. After Trulli won the Championship in 1996, Briatore moved him up to the Minardi Formula 1 team for the 1997 season, where he had a controlling interest. Later that year he was ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Jarno Trulli: Suprising! (143 words)
by - written on 14/10/00 (Very useful, 93 readings)
Rating:

Suprisingly, this driver seems to have had a better season than his Jordan teammate Frentzen, often qualifying much higher up the grid than him and picking up a few more points too. This driver seems to just get better and better and when Jordan finally get the reliability of their car sorted out, who knows where he might take them! This driver could even be a world champion in the making as it certainly looks like he has the ability and he is also young too, making him a promising prospect for the future. This man also seems to handle the pressure ofhigh speed driving in the big arena well, and now he is in a more competitive package than his previous car, we are ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Trulli great champion to be! (153 words)
by - written on 18/08/00 (4 readings)
Rating:

Jarno Trulli joined Minardi in 1997 as a young gun prospect for stardom. He was given his first chance to thrive when Olivier Panis had his accident in Canada. In Austria, later that year, Trulli qualified the, then good, Prost Mugen Honda in third place, got the jump on Villeneuve, the champion that year, and took the lead of the race after Mika Hakkinen retired after 1 lap. He held onto the lead for a very long time, before Villeneuve got it back with some gutsy driving. A second place was on the cards but an engine expiration sent him to retire his car. After two poor years with Prost, the highlight being a second place in a rain swept European GP, he has joined ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Jarno Trulli: Trulli's having a bad season (99 words)
by - written on 16/07/00 (Useful, 13 readings)
Rating:

I personally do not rate Jano Trulli this season. He appears simply to be a replacement for the dreadful Damon Hill at Jordan. His second full season with the Prost team did not appear to be amounting to much when he when he scored a podium finish, 2nd behind Johnny Herbert at the Nurburgring. It was the best result of his career. Eddie Jordan, who has proved he has a knack for identifying talent not previously seen, reckons he will push Heinz Harald Frentzen in a way that Hill failed to do in 1999. I however remain unconvinced. ...  Read the complete review
