TV Coverage of the Winter Olympics 2002

Description: Sports: Olympics / What are your veiws on the TV coverage for this event?

Newest Review: ... There is no specially-composed theme tune, only the same old 'Ski Sunday' theme they've been using for winter sports for about thirty years. There is not much in the way of special features or novel reporting either (unless you include visiting the family of British bronze medallist Alex Coomber as she bombed head-first round a bobsleigh track). Coverage has been divided into two ... more

Premium Review TV Coverage of the Winter Olympics 2002: Beeb in exciting sports coverage shock! (302 words)

The BBC owns the rights to so few major sporting competitions nowadays that it is especially essential they don't muck up the coverage of the events they do cover. Premium Review TV Coverage of the Winter Olympics 2002: The best and most exciting Olympic coverage yet (639 words)

The TV coverage for this Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City has got to be the best yet. With the BBCi service running 24x7, coverage on Euro-sports and also on normal terrestrial TV ensures that you don't miss out on anything. From catching the live action to being able to watch it again later on replays. It is good to see the British competitors making a good effort and with Chimene Alcott getting into 15th position in the downhill in the Women?s Combined event, although with her special funding, private coaching - separate from the British Squad and with her Father having a senior position within the English Ski Council - she should have done a bit better ...  Read the complete review
