Petrol prices are being held artificially high in this country due to the tax burden placed on it. It hits the poor far worse than any other demographic unit in the country. I have met many disabled people who have motability cars but cannot afford to run them due to petrol prices. Why not move the tax to luxary goods. I am no socialist but if you earn a little more and are privilaged then you have a moral obligation to those in need.
Why do other European countries not pay so much for fuel, The do not stand for it. The fuel protests ment I had to be careful, Im a supply teacher and lost work becuase I had little petrol, but I still support the Action. Get a grip Tony and lighten the TAX on fuel.
