Advantages: WE ARE TELLING BLAIR how we feel at last!!

Disadvantages: I wont be able to drive soon :(

Great, at last we told the Prime-Minister what we think of him in person. I am glad we copied the French as hopefully Blair will have listened (not a chance). I predicted that by the time i could drive (aprox. March 2001) that the price of petrol would be £1.20 / litre. Thank GOD it has sort of stopped. I am very tempted to use public transport, but the bus is always full by the time it gets near me and the next one is an hour later so Public transport is not a great option. I am hoping that prices fall. AND WHAT THE HELL IS THE GOVERNMENT PLAYING AT, 57m to DOME and 4M to cancer research, more of that money could have been spent on public transport and cancer research, its asthough Blair has been eating too much beef lately. But it has to be said haig isnt much better he is only getting publicity at the moment because he comments on Blairs wrongs but if we had Haig in charge he would have done something outragous by now!! so Blair is all we have. Great!
I want to know what the Petrol companies are going to do. They definately wont put up price /litre if the government drops the tax price as that would be mad.

All we can do now is wait for 50 days and hope for the best.

I have signed many petitions over the last weeks i hope that helps. I am looking into LPG at the moment as an alternitive!! People with LPG were laughing when we couldnt get petrol!!

Yeah, vote Liberal! Or even better, Mayday2001, show the parliament what you think of them ;)

I think the point people missed in all this rightious indignation is that petrol is harmful to the envirnment and, therefore, to us. It is also breeds anti-socialism and congestion, making our towns look ugly. If people stopped driving, then there wouldn't be an issue. It's put me off learning to drive, I'm gonna get a bike!

I agree with you, but there is no right or wrong answer to this!! I think a large amount of the money should come from the National Lottery, but Blair must spend it wisely not on the Dome!!
