Love is GREAT (Valentine's Day)

For two Valentine's Days I have been in a relationship, but have been apart from him, mostly because I went gallavanting off skiing, so it was my fault. I love Valentine's Day because it makes people in love so grateful they have someone. This can be in two ways; one, they rant to each other about the pointlessness of Valentine's Day and so get closer, or, two, they celebrate it and so get closer. Either way, it is a good day for them. The people not in love are not so lucky I reckon, as it seems to be human nature to not be happy for someone else that they have a loved one, but rather, to be angry at them and burn pictures of old boyfriends.

I do think Valentine's Day is too built up though. When I saw an A2 card in Clinton's, I realised that developed countries have too many luxuries. When you think that people are dying every second from malnutrition, and some of us complain that their best friend has a boyfriend and so is not spending time with them complaining about Valentine's Day, you know that people are spoilt.
However, even sending a small card to someone secretly gives a boost to thir confidence and something to gossip over the water cooler, so just do it, don't complain. Everyone could have a Secret Valentine, like secret santa.
I think everyone needs a reform of Valentine's Day. It is a day to celebrate love, so any loved one, be it a best friend, brother or a boyfriend, should be remembered and appreciated.

Summary: everyone should love someone.
