Advantages: I know that my medication is safe to take

Disadvantages: For me there isn't really one, please see my opinion

I both agree and disagree with animal testing. The part of animal testing I don't like is cosmetics and beauty products as I don't see the point of it, but where medical advancement is concerned I agree with it.
I don't mean this is a horrible way, but this is something which affects me in a big way. I have epilepsy which is medically controlled and the tablets which I take have been tested on mice in a laboratory. These types of tests are necessary as people could die/become ill if they took any medication which was not properly tested first. I know that if my medication had not been tested I would have reservations about taking it as I would be very concerned about the safety of it.
Until there is another way for medication etc to be tested without animals this is how it will stay. I know that some people will see this as a very cold hearted view, but once you need medication which is for more serious things then a cold, then you do see things differently.
