I have swung from one end of the spectrum to the other with this review. It is hard to give a balanced review with so many conflicting stories and pictures out there. My overall opinion is that animal testing is a necessary evil until an alternative is found. I don’t want to sound cold hearted and cruel but without these animals the human race ...

I finally managed to watch the program Animals which I recorded a couple of weeks ago from Channel 4. Now I hear a lot of you saying this is meant to be a review on Vivisection. Well, that’s what this is but this program brought this subject to my mind. I have always been in two minds when it comes to this controversial issue. On one ...

I really do love animals. Mind you, I'm not a radical. I've never protested, never worn a button against anything harming them. Vivisection has always been a big issue for me. I've done a lot of thinking and asking about it. And this is what I've come up with-- What people don't know is that THERE ARE ...

I used to be neutral with regards to vivisection. I thought that if it wasn't for animal testing, we'd have no cures, no new medicines, and very few safe products. I didn't like the idea of blatantly mutilating and killing animals, but I figured whatever was being done in the research labs was only necessary, and for the benefit of ...

As with my similarly related op in this category, I'd just like to re-iterate that this is not an opinion as such but more of a way in which you can help. For further info, please read my non-animal friendly companies op, too. Below, I have compiled this list of "safe" brands which I obtained from buav.org and peta.org. ...

Vivisection can be cruel. It can hurt animals, despite all the Government controls and the regulations. The question is, can it be justified? I think it can. Vivisection and other, similar areas can all be split into two major areas. That which is necessary, such as medical testing. That which is unnecessary, such as cosmetic testing. I ...

I have been reading a lot of these opinions. As I have experience in this and most people here don't I thought I would share them. I work in a medical testing centre looking after mice. I am not the person who does the tests, I look after them and breed them until they are needed. I also have to cull any excess mice, which is ...

My thoughts on vivisection are that almost all-animal experiments are essential and if you want cures for conditions and illnesses. Yes Huntington Life sciences do use animals to test cosmetics for human skin effects. But most of the female population likes to put on a bit of slap now and then for self-confidence and attracting men ...

You dont have to watch do you? But you will definitely benifit from the results. At least this is what most reasonably minded people would like to think. The torturing of defenseless animals in the name of crucial scientific research, like which shampoo really hurts the eyes if you inject 200 cc's of it directly into the eye. Well, actually ...

Vivisection means ''cutting while still alive'' but these days it refers to experiments performed on animals. Many different animals suffer this fate, including monkeys, baboons, dogs cats and so on. The way it is done is they are poisoned, mutilated, forced to inhale toxic substances. Most of the experiments are carried ...

As is the case with many I was undecided whether to write an opinion on such a contentious issue. As a chemist, I don’t have first hand experience of performing vivisection although I do have a great deal of laboratory experience and I feel that it makes me at least have one viewpoint from which to comment. Okay I’m not going to say ...

Animals have been used for product testing for years, and years, and years...so why stop now? Well, I can't think of a defined reason why the tests being performed should be out ruled by the law, or stopped, but what I can't get my head around is why animals are used, and put through so much pain sometimes only for the benefit of whether ...

I am not here to offend anyone and everyone is entitled to their own opinion but after reading a review on this subject and some of the comments I felt my temperature rising. For many years experiments have been carried out on animals for the good of the human race but is it fair or right to make animals suffer so we can wear make up or spray ourselves with smelly's i would have to say a big NO but there are benefits for us as humans in animal testing, now don't get me wrong i don't agree with animal testing ...

Yet again we see just how ridiculous these animal libbers are with these pro fish posters. Some dippy Yank has come over and plastered up bill boards with a fish hook in a dogs ear.The message is that fish have rights to you know. I want to focus my opinion on the dissection of animals in science classes. It is something that I had to go through and I want to talk about it. I still remember that sickly sweet smell of formeldahyde that rushed up when I cut my frog open. One time formeldahyde got spillt at work and the bosses were asking if I smelled anything funny. I am ...

I am due to marry a keen vegetarian who wont touch anything vaguely animal like. He will admittedly consume eggs and milk yet he wont wear leather. You may deem this to be a little hypocritical of him, but as he says, everyone can do there own little bit and nobody is perfect. Well, he certainly has the morals over me. He wont eat ...

As is my custom with matters of an ethical nature, I'd like to have a look at what logic might have to tell us about this mess of morals. If you’d be so kind as to strap down your preconceptions, store all your criticisms in the overhead lockers until the end of the journey, and slip into an open-minded dressing gown, we can begin. If ...
