Why so many celebrity versions (Has reality TV gone too far?)

Disadvantages: All the celebrity versions!!!!!!

The main craze started after Big Brother series one was first aired on television. And with a huge media frenzy bringing it to everyones attention it wasn't long before other programme makers cottoned on to the idea. Now in today's television era we are being swamped with such programmes, The worst offender being "The reality show" which was aired on channel 5 in which all the contestants were chosen for the line up because they had all previously been on reality shows! (very poor excuse of a programme).

Its not that i don't like these sort of programmes, like most people i get quite drawn into allot of them, particularly big brother (Lisa to win, ha ha)! but its now the society we are living in is now obsessed with the idea of the celebrity, and these programmes are basicly a line of people queing to be famous. Take Last years celebrity big brother, i loved the concept of having a none celebrity in their pretending that she was because that what the original version basically is. But Now chantelle is out that house i don't want to keep hearing about what she is doing next.

The other thing which really bothers me about these sorts of programmes is the increasingly large number of celebrity versions. that are being created. I really don't want to see old has beens scratching away for one last ditch attempt in the lime light. Get some people on these shows which have really talent and personality instead of wannabes!!!

Summary: I like them but no more of the has beens please!
