So what's happened to the "War on Terror" guys??? With British soldiers back in barracks in Basra the serious terror arrests in the U.K have just dried, just the occasional shakedown for reading dodgy literature, even Liverpool fans coming full circle on their sympathies on the Muslim threat by demanding Yanks out and Dubai in. We need some political direction on this one? Are we supposed to be still scared of the bombs that aren't going off? I'm confused. British soldiers are coming home from Iraq as demanded by the 7/7 suicide bombers video to stop the extremist reprisals and low and behold the war seems to be over. Let's call a spade a spade. When we talk about the "war on terror" these days what we are really talking about are Islamic Fundamentalists and their fellow travellers. OK, there may be hundreds of other terrorist groupings around the world, but when compared to the threat posed to Western society by the Islamists, any actions taken against them are mere skirmishes and not a war.
