Watford F.C. are an English football club based in Hertfordshire who play in The Championship which is the second tier of English professional football. The club was founded in 1881, their ground is Vicarage Road with a spectator capacity of 17000 (soon to be expanded to 23,500) and the club nickname is The Hornets due to the fact that their home strip is the hornet like black, red and yellow. Their most successful footballing period in their history was under the management of the on the surface very unimpressive Graham Taylor. Premium Review Hornet For Manager? (updated) (773 words)

Well that was short and not so sweet. Vialli's stay at the Vic wasn't as successful as we'd all hoped, or prayed. It seems to me that every time we enter a new "era", (usually because Graham Taylor has departed to Villa) we assume good times are around the corner and we're going to be promoted to the newfoundland. Not this time. Gianluca's appointment did interest me, yet at the same time it also made me apprehensive. Could a man with such little lower league experience bring success to Vicarage Road in his first season. Unfortunately I was proved correct, and we finished languishing in fourteenth place in the second flight of English ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Watford F.C.: What are they going to be like without no Graham Taylor (237 words)

Well, by now i guess most football fans have already heard the news that Graham Taylor is resigning as Watford Manager at the end of the season. Taylor has been the goal to Watfords success over the past couple of season and without him i still think Watford would still be in Division 2 along side rivals Luton Town. When Watford got promoted from Division 2 to Division 1 most people would have never of thought of Watford going straight into the Premiership, but they did and i think this was because of the commitment that Graham Taylor put in at the club. But now that Graham is leaving the club at the end of the season would this be the end of Watfords chances ...  Read the complete review

Watford - going up......or are they? (314 words)

I think Watford will be in the playoffs as they wont catch Fulham or second spot Bolton/Blackburn and so they will do it all again via the playoffs - and this time they'll stay up. They had a superb run of form at the start of the season, but then they went on an amazing run where they couldn't seem to win any games and other teams ewere taking over them in the league and Watford were heading downwards. They are now currntly in a respectable top 6 although I feel that they should be in the top 3 as they are a very good side compared to other team in the top half of Division 1. Last season, they did not do very well at all after getting promoted into the ...  Read the complete review

Watford F.C.: What has gone wrong ? (184 words)

Watford FC have just gone down hill ever since they hit the top of the first division! They seem to be losing every game one after another and when they lost 5-0 to fulham you could tell there would be no way back for the hornets. At the beggining of the season i thought they would come straight back up with no problems because of there premiership experience. And i did used to believe that they had one of the best defenders of robert page in the division but lately he preformance has been very poor. The last game i saw them play was a poor one when they beat bolton 1-0 right at the end with a tommy mooney penalty and after that game they hit the top place in the ...  Read the complete review
