Advantages: Fun Club, Good Family Atmosphere
Disadvantages: Could do better in front of the cameras in mid-week matches!
I have only supported Watford for 11 seasons but can say they are the strongest now that I can ever remember. Last season in the Premiership was torrid to say the least but in Graham Taylor is management experience that I knew would help the team during the summer after relegation. Look at them now! Full of confidence, loving every game, everyone wants to play, everyone wants to score and everyone *is* scoring. People are saying it is the weakest Division 1 for some time.. perhaps.. but that does not detract from the achievement so far this season and do we like that!! :o) Oh yes indeedy - come on you Hornets!! December 2000 I have to add here that the temporary blip in performance and confidence is exactly that... temporary (I hope!) :o) March 2001 Well, it looks like the team have lost cohesion at a critical point in the season. Young striker Tommy Smith has rejected his contract renewal so he will be off soon. Whether Graham Taylor stays or not after the end of this season is a question that must be on some people's lips now. The squad either needs to get to know each other again or be replaced but the latter is not that easy to implement. Whatever happens, another season in Division 1 is on the cards now. 29th March 2001 Regrettably, though not a complete surprise, Graham Taylor is calling it a day. His commitment to the club has been admirable and for him to go out with the Hornets back in the Premiership would be fitting. Graham, I, for one of many thousands salute you! All the very best for the future.
