Advantages: Extra pocket money, get great ideas

Disadvantages: None

I will admit I was first attracted to this website through the forums in moneysavingexpert. The prosect of making 50p for little work ( not how I feel now) seemed really appealing and could be a way of helping clear a few of my smaller debts.

So on day one, with no idea of the real spirit of dooyoo, I set about doing 6 reviews - 150 words per review , people rated it and £3 made - if I could keep this up I would be quids in I thought.

The next day I eagerly logged on - I had a comment, it was a constructive comment from one of the guides - I feel lucky that this guide wrote the way he did - welcoming me to the site, picking up the positives of the review, then making suggestions on how my review could be improved to be more informative to the people reading it - especially the non readers.

From that moment on I was hooked on the positives of dooyoo and have tried to make my reviews more informative and useful whilst really enjoying reading other peoples reviews.

In January I nervously redeemed my first £50, I had heard a lot of negativity on how they weren't paying up and were chucking people off the site and I wondered if my reviews would be adequate. Two weeks later I received my cheque - I was really chuffed and it went straight into my account to be used against some debt.

Last week I managed to flood the kitchen, electrocute myself - well a rather nasty electric shock anyway! and knock myself out all within a few seconds - I am a total numpty for not remembering to do things like turn off the water and switch off the electrics before embarking on a task beyond my limited means anyway! In the chaos my phone ended up in the flooded mess - so I now have redeemed £40 amazon vouchers for a new cordless phone - we are at the moment using my emergency minnie mouse phone much to my teenage sons disgust!

So my dooyoo pounds are going to be spent on clearing debt slowly!! or, more than likely, replacing something I have broken in my seemingly endless clumsiness!!

Summary: Take care of the pennies........
