Advantages: A little bit extra to treat myself with

Disadvantages: None

I have enjoyed reading about what other people spend their Dooyoo earnings on so I thought it was time I told you what I have bought so far. I plan to keep this updated so I can keep track of all the things I have bought courtesy of Dooyoo.

I joined Dooyoo after reading about it on Money Saving Expert where a woman said she had earned £70 in two months. I thought that sounded rather good for simply writing about my experiences with products and services. I tend to spend my money on boring everyday items, bills and my son. I love spending money on my little boy but it does mean I don't get to spend much money on myself. I thought Dooyoo would be a great way to earn a little extra to treat myself with. I am way too impatient to save up the Dooyoo miles for a cheque and most things can be bought on Amazon anyway so I have always gone for an Amazon voucher.

- How I have spent my earnings so far -
£40 in Amazon vouchers
I was so excited to receive my first voucher and went straight on to Amazon to buy some DVDs I had wanted for ages. I bought seasons two, three and four of the American TV series Dexter. I was given season one for Christmas and absolutely loved it so I was dying to know what happened next. For those of you who aren't familiar with this series it is about a vigilante serial killer who kills serial killers. It is brilliant! I find watching a DVD in the evening is the best way to relax after a tiring day. I also bought a Yankee Candle Wax Tart Burner and some Wax Tarts as I had read so many reviews about them. I am now rather addicted to them!

I bought Rookie Blue season one on DVD as a friend had recommended it to me. It is an American series about rookie police officers. I definitely recommend it, especially if you are a fan of Grey's Anatomy as it is like a police version of this. I also bought series three of the IT Crowd on DVD. This is one of the best British comedies around so another one to recommend. Finally I made a rather mundane but necessary purchase of corner protectors for my coffee table. My son enjoys cruising around the furniture at the moment so I wanted make sure he wouldn't injure himself on the sharp corners.

£30 in Amazon Vouchers
As we had just moved house I found there were lots of things we needed so my voucher really came in handy. I bought a narrow Tippitoes safety gate for the top of the stairs. The stairs are narrow so I only purchased one to make sure it fit. I also bought Gro Anywhere Blackout Blinds for my son's bedroom and some animal shaped mini bath mats for the bath because it is so slippery. My voucher didn't quite cover all of this but it did make a big dent in the total cost.

£30 in Amazon Vouchers
I bought a second stair gate as we were pleased with the first one and I also bought a magnetic BabyDan cupboard lock to stop my son getting to the cleaning products. Something for me next time I think!

£20 in Amazon Vouchers
I finally bought some things for me with this voucher. I bought The Mentalist season 2 on DVD. This a great American police drama series which I would definitely recommend. I also bought myself a pretty Yankee Candle votive holder which has a vintage style blue flower design. I really like this so I think I will order another one to go with it with my next voucher. Then I bought my son a Bickiepeg Doidy Cup which I have reviewed. Lastly I bought a battery tester which may sound mundane but I am having so much fun testing all our batteries!

- My wish list -
I would like another Yankee Candle votive holder to match the one I already have and no doubt I will find more DVDs I 'need' too.

- Final Thoughts -
Dooyoo is never going to make me a millionaire but it does give me a little bit extra to treat myself with and to buy a few essentials too. If I didn't enjoy the site it probably wouldn't be worth it but I really like reading and writing reviews so for me Dooyoo is a good way to pass my spare time.

Summary: Dooyoo won't make you a millionaire but it does give you a bit extra to treat yourself with
