What invention do you think the world needs?

Newest Review: ... around all the normal places it would be, then took our search further afield - to the car, and places we'd been recently. ... more

... Then I went looking for the remote control and I found it (the camera, not the remote - still looking for that)! What the world needs now, is a search function. In the early days, those few talented people use divining rods as a means of finding things, primarily water. Water is useful, don't get me wrong, but the whole idea never really took off - maybe because there was no organised training. Whole hordes of people spend their life with at least one thing lost or missing. Imagine if there was a little gadget, may...more

What invention does the world need? Hmmm well there are so many gadgets and gizmos around you sometimes wonder what else could be invented to help the world. A considerable amount of the existing inventions seem to cause more trouble in the long run. After taking a year out to travel I did notice something, that people who had less seemed happier and possessions and inventions were not always a good thing. These people were living in communities where they had to work hard for food and shelter just to survive and I feel that these people are special as they are struggling to survive and are some of the happiest people I have ever met. Some inventions have been ...  Read the complete review

In my oh so humble opinion the World is in need of more than one invention to sort out some of its problems right now. A diet that actually works would be a nice place to start. Yes, I know that if you eat less calories than you burn off you’ll lose weight, but in the golden age of labour saving devices, McDonalds and 4x4’s more and more of us are finding it hard to keep those extra pounds at bay. It’s shocking really that we in the West have mounting problems with obesity. The strain that’s likely to cause on the NHS in this Country alone is phenomenal. Latest statistics show that we are also throwing away around one third of the groceries we buy, too, ...  Read the complete review

I always wanted to invent something when I was younger, turned out they was already invited or far to "out there". Everyone's going to have different opinions on this, because everyone has a different perspective upon the world. I can think of hundreds of things this world needs, but these themselves would probably cause more problems. In my opinion, the 3 main problems are : Disease, poverty and crime. I can't actually think of an invention for poverty though.... So first up.. my invention for disease. It's the thing we cannot escape, even if we are completely healthy, we are still at risk. Sometime, we are lucky and the illness is caught early ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Transporters are the way forward (214 words)

When I was younger I was a bit of a trekkie! And the best invention that they ever had was the transporter! For those of you who have not watched Star Trek I will explain! They have a transporter room which basically contains a special floor and ceiling and when stood on the transporter pads the operator puts in a destination, presses and button and seconds later you are at your destination! It seems like a really lazy invention when you first look at it as it stops you from needing to walk anywhere, but I am often faced with the problem of wanting to go to an exercise class that is being held at my local sports centre but by the time I have ...  Read the complete review

I like probably most people have sat there at some point in their lives saying ‘I wish somebody would invent that’. Well this review topic is good because we can come up with anything our minds can think of so I am going to put down what I think they should come up with and when I would like it done so that some brain inventors out there can look at my request and note it down. ----- Teleportation: I do a hell of a lot of travelling in my job and a teleportation device could make everything so much easier. I think it should be like a huge box where you can walk into it and select a postcode or place name from a computer screen kind of ...  Read the complete review
