Advantages: Great all round game and lots of goals.

Disadvantages: They would win every game with ease.

~ Overview ~

Here is my dream football team and if I had a few billions spare or if I could go back in time this would be the squad who I would manage. I would play a 4-3-3 formation and play pass and move style football just like Brazil.

**Goalkeeper**

[Peter Schmeichel} - Country: Denmark

He was a legend for Manchester United and as a Liverpool fan I can honestly say he was one of the all time greatest goalkeepers. He won 5 premier league titles, 3 FA cups and 1 European cup.

The one moment which I can remember Schmeichel pulling off a great save was the penalty save in the semi final against Arsenal in which Ryan Giggs went onto to get a classic goal too. If it wasn't for Peter then Manchester United may never of reached the final and go on to win the treble in that season.

He has to be my number one goalie as he has agility, height and width which is what any good team requires.

** Left Back (Defence) **

{Roberto Carlos} - Country: Brazil

This guy could score some wicked goals and one I distinctively remember was the swerving goal against France which was phenomenal. He was born in 1973 in Brazil and went on to play for Real Madrid winning 4 Spanish League titles, 3 European cups and also winning the world cup.

He has to be in my team as he was strong, fast and athletic and could get up and down the pitch with ease.

** 1st Centre Back (Defence) **

{Jamie Carragher} - Country: England

He is one of my all time greatest defenders and yes maybe I am being a bit biased as I am a Liverpool fan but I believe he is one of the best battling defenders around. He was born in 1978 and has won 2 FA cups, 1 European cup and 1 UEFA cup in his time at Liverpool Football Club. He also received PFA player of the year in 2005.

He gets in my team as he can pull out a world class tackle to save you a goal and a real team player and great at organising a team.

** 2nd Centre Back (Defence) **

{Franz Beckenbauer} - Country: Germany

He was one of the all time greatest defenders and grew up hearing how good he was at defending in his day. He was born in 1945 and was twice selected as European Footballer of the Year. He won 3 consecutive European cups with Bayern Munich and also won the World and European Championships with Germany which not many players can say that they have done.

For his pure talent and that he could score goals that meant he had to be included in my defence.

** Right Back (Defence) **

{Cafu} - Country: Brazil

After watching Brazil play many years it seemed evident that a lot of there domination was down to their defenders getting forward whipping balls into the penalty area and there was knowone better at this than Cafu.

He is included in my squad as he too is a world cup winner and has athletic ability, and can skip past defenders with ease and cause havoc. He has won 2 Italian League titles, 1 European Cup and is the most capped Brazilian player of all time with 143 appearances.

** Left Winger (Midfield) **

{Christiano Ronaldo} - Country: Portugal

Well what side could manage without him and seriously Manchester United fans do you think he is replaceable? I think not. He is world class and will go down in history as one of the all time greats with his natural talent and wonderful shooting technique.

He was born in 1985 and has won 3 Premier League titles, 1 FA cup, 1 European Cup and won FIFA world player of the year in 2008.

For his pure speed, skill and shooting ability he has to be included in my main team.

** Centre of Midfield (Midfield) **

{Steven Gerrard} - Country: England

I'm not being biased but I know a lot of you would probably have Frank Lampard here but it's my opinion that counts. He has pulled Liverpool out of so many situations that I have lost count and is a true great.

He was born in 1980 and has won 2 FA cups, 1 European Cup and 1 UEFA cup. One of the most important goals ever scored by Stevie was the goal in the Champions League final against AC Milan in Istanbul and he gave us a chance to get back into the match with a wonder goal with a header past Dida.

For his true grit, strength and great shooting skills he has to be in my Central Midfield.
** Right Winger (Midfield) **

{Bobby Charlton} - Country: England

This guy could play footy and is one of the few world cup members still alive today that lifted England's only world cup in 1966. He was a cracking striker of the ball and won 1 European cup, 3 English Championships, 1 FA Cup and won European Player of the year in 1966.

He was born in 1937 and was renowned for his attacking prowess and his ferocious long range shooting. He is a true legend and has to be included in my midfield.

** Left Striker (Forward) **

{Pele} - Country: Brazil

Now, this is a tough category as so many footballers could have been put here but no one was as good as this guy. He was born in 1940 and was known as the "King of football". He is the all time leading goalscorer for Brazil and he had a all round wonderful game.

He won the world cup 3 times which is amazing in itself to do and won many championship titles with Santos in Brazil. In my opinion he was the best and we will never see anyone as good again.

He could pass; he had pace, a powerful shot, unbelievable heading ability and would breeze into anyone's dream football team.

** Central Striker (Forward) **

{George Best} - Country: Northern Ireland

Now I know this wasn't his natural position but I am allowed to tinker as I am the coach so I would like to player George here. He was born in 1946 and was a legend for Manchester United winning 2 league titles and 1 UEFA European cup medal. He was well known for his move on Cruyff who was the best player in the world and Best took him on and nutmegged him with ease.

He is in my main team for his two-footedness and his wonderful ability to drift round defenders. He also had great acceleration and beautiful balance whilst on the ball.

** Right Striker (Forward) **

{Ian Rush} - Country: Wales

Now I had to have someone with a lovely looking moustache and no one is as good as Ian Rush. He was born in 1961 and was the top Liverpool scorer with 346 goals. He scored the most goals against an Everton team over many seasons scoring 25 goals in total against the Toffee's.

He won 5 League cups and also won many league and FA cups too as well as a European cup. He is a true Liverpool Football Club legend and has to be one of the main forwards in my team.

~ Conclusion ~

Well there you have it; the above are my fantastic 11 and would beat any side in the world at the moment. With a strong defence and a Midfield which can tackle as well as score wonder goals and three strikers which could ruin any side in the world would dominate the football world for years.

If I am being honest I could have put three or four players in each position but I felt these choices would make the side well balanced and have enough legendary statuses to put the fear of god into anyone.

Thank you for reading my review, I hope you enjoyed it.

Summary: This team would crush the might Barcelona with ease!

Carra's looking a bit dodgy this year. Us and United for the Europa league I reckon.

Ooh, Jamie Carragher? You've GOT to be a Liverpool fan surely?

For me Zico HAS to have a place in any team like this, his passing was immaculate and if he was putting chances on a plate to players like Pele and Best then this team would take some stopping.
