My favourite Beatles Album is(and it's a hard decision to make!!)....

Abbey Road!!!!!

I think Abbey Road marked the high point in the fab four's career; it was both a reflection of their evolution through from their early pop days, and psychedelic days, plus a revisionist re-interpretation of their own personal musical roots (the things that inspired them as youngsters; rock n roll in John's case, beautiful ballads in Paul and George's).

You also get some of the best musician ship from the band - The triple guitar interplay on THE END is magical, as is and Ringo's (often joked about for his rhythm skills) drumming on that track...

We also get to see George reach the height of his song writing powers with songs like HERE COMES THE SUN and SOMETHING (does this the most beautiful guitar solo ever?).

John's inspired 'Because' pushing the boundaries of music to the outer limits (inspired, according to John, by trying to play Beethoven's moonlight sonata backwards - no less!!).

And wouldn't the world be a poorer place without Paul's many linked up tracks (with plenty of help from John et al) that run like a mini opera at the end of the album -wow what a finish!! (well almost a finish; there's the light hearted HER MAJESTY the 'hidden' track to finish off with -lol!!)

It's a brilliant album, can't fault it!!
