Advantages: Made me tidy it up
Disadvantages: No phone!
I've had a terrible start to my day this morning, my little Renault Clio has broken down on my way to work. Luckily, I managed to force it within a 5 minute walks radius of my workplace so not too bad, especially because after a ten minute expedition into the murky depths of my handbag I still couldn't find my mobile phone. I fould loads of other interesting (!) items, after emptying most of it over the passenger seat and footwell and then had to try and cram it all back in again, but the most useful thing to aid anyone who needs roadside assistance is still sat on the shelf at home charging up.
So I get in to work and to cheer myself up I decide to sneakily read a few of your lovely reviews (I just can't concentrate at the moment, honestly, I'm doing my employers a favour!) and I come accross a review, What's in Your Handbag? Well, obviously I had to give it a go!
1. Purse. Packed jam full of plastic, most notably my RAC card! But also loads of other cards I rarely, if ever, use. I've just counted 20! I also have the grand total of £1.62, just enough for a one way bus ticket home luckily.
2. Earphones for my mobile. Obviously not very useful as I haven't got my phone!
3. Four black pens. Wondered where my work pens had gone to, I think I have an OCD, where I automatically swipe biro's without realising it. Ooops, I've just put them back in my desk drawer.
4. Two satsumas. I'm really trying to loose a bit of weight before holiday and also to eat my 'five a day'.
5. Sunglasses. These are a prescription pair which I usually keep in the car. I've transferred them to my bag as they need to go back to the opticians because they are too loose and keep falling off. I end up driving with my nose pointed towards the car roof to try and keep them on - not good!
6. Keys to the office. I was given this set when I started 3 years ago, incase I ever get to the office early so I can let myself in instead of standing out in the rain. I've never had the opportunity to use them!
7. Nivea caregloss & shine. My friend gave me a 3pack for christmas, but this is the only survivor, I have no idea where the others are unfortunatley.
8. Roll-on deodorant. Popped this in my bag a couple of weeks ago, when it started getting warmer.
9. Hand cream. Vaseline intensive care, (last review) I've always got a tube of this, my hands get quite dry from the soap at work.
10. Vouchers. Mostly Boots vouchers. I always keep them in my bag and usually forget to use them! I've also got quite a few half filled cards for a free cup of coffee from various places.
11. Hair grips. My fringe always gets in my eyes when I type so I've usually got a handful of gripsin my bag and desk drawer.
12. Receipts. Loads and loads of receipts. I mainly use my debit card and hate throwing anything away with my details on so I accumulate them instead! It's a wonder I haven't got a hamster living in here!
13. Door key. Usually attached my car keys but they have now been taken to the garage along with my car.
14. 27p in loose change. What no notes?
15. Lonesome chewing gum. Not sticky or covered in fluff yet, but still looking rather stale.
16. Mobile phone charm. A prezzie from my mum. It has a little bear with a shopping bag on it, but it also has a really annoying little bell, hence why it's not on the phone.
That's it, boring really! Well, I'm just off to shred my receipts and then I'd better get some work done before I get the sack. Thanks for reading!
Summary: Why oh why do I leave it so long between clean outs?
