Advantages: holds bits and pieces
Disadvantages: can get heavy
I've often seen this subject crop up on one of my friends lists reviews, and I thought I would do it too, after all men have bags too ya know!.
The bag I have however is not a handbag (thank god) but more of those over the shoulder satchel type bags. The one I am using at the moment is a stand in because my other bag broke, I don't like the one I am using now, which is a Kangol bag, because the strap that goes over the shoulder is too thin... still what does it contain?
A book - Currently this book is Mr Clarinet by Nick Stone, marketed as a crime fiction book, it is actually really good and I normally read it on the train, however I am on early shift at the moment which generally means that my time spent on the train is time spent snoozing.
A unused tissue - hmmm I think this has been in there ages, I will bin this now I think.
Paying in book - I had to pay a cheque into my girlfriends bank account and I still have the paying in book, I must give this back.
Beanie Hat - ok, I appreciate that this is a winter hat, but it lives in my bag, I use it mainly to keep my door keys in, and there is a reason I use the hat to store my door keys.
iPod - this is the reason my keys are in my hat, to stop the metal keys scratching my iPod. Of course to and from work the ipod is not in the bag, but in my pocket with my fav tunes filtering into my ear ol's
there is also a little zipped pocket in the bag, at the moment this has:
A little plastic device that take the "buds" of my headphones, rarely used actually
USB Phone Charger - Being a little more energy conscious these days, and knowing that plug in chargers still use electricity when not connected to the phone I try these days to charge my phone via USB lead, the computer is on already so I may as well use it to charge the phone, very handy
Ipod USB Charger Lead - because I use my iPod everyday and the battery life isn't superb, I also bring the USB charger with me to work and out and about in case I need to charge the pod, very handy.
At the moment this is all that is in my bag, however my jumper will probably go in there before I leave work as it is sunny and too warm to wear.
Whilst the contents are not a patch on what a woman carries around, I still would say that I need a bag to carry odds and sods around in too.
Summary: a handy thing to have
