Advantages: I always have a pen or ten when I need one.

Disadvantages: Gets quite heavy! I'm possibly lopsided.

I am currently alternating between two bags, a small blue one that holds only the essentials which I call my Mary Poppins bag as I can never believe how much stuff it really holds, and a red 'hobo' style bag that literally holds EVERYTHING.

Friends and family have christened my bags as black holes. Once something is in there, it's unlikely that you'll ever see it again.

I always carry a book, my purse, iPod, diary, oyster card, lady bits and bobs, and some lip balm.

My bags can often be the source of much embarassment when in a supermarket or shop and I've lost my card, or purse. Out comes the supply of pens and half of the stock of Paperchase (yes, I own that many notebooks), half of the stock of the local pharmacy (this often leads to some odd looks as I must resemble a drug dealer), and large quantities of chocolate bar wrappers, more tissues than you'll find in a teenage boys waste paper basket, and every train ticket from every journey in the last six months! You'll probably find a pair of clean/dirty underwear and my spare toothbrush in there as well if you look closely!

In all, my bag is the travel sized abyss!

Summary: Try to empty it out regularly, too lazy!
