Advantages: I have everything in one place
Disadvantages: Its heavy and bulky
I have adapted since having 2 small children as you cant take those risks while nipping out for the afternoon for them not to spill something on themselves or pee through there nappies " even though they are not meant to leak" they still manage too when you really, really don't want them too so this is what I carry in my bag for my 2 small children under 3.
1. Nappies in 2 different sizes x2
2. Pack of baby wipes
3. 2 Dummies for those moments of shhhhh
4. Snacks such as raisins for the kids and me if I get peckish
5. A drink such as a fruit shoot or carton (meant for me) but kids always get it first
6. Baby Food (only when we are heading out at eating times)
7. Baby milk (again only when we are heading out at eating times)
8. Change of clothes for the baby
9. Bibs
10. A couple of matchbox cars to keep my oldest amused and quiet .
11. Tissues for wiping up snot of little faces
12. Milton wipes - So many highchairs are dirty in cafes etc
13. Mirror
14. Car Keys
15. House Keys
16. Purse
17. Lip-gloss
18. Spare set of contact lenses - because once I was driving and I rubbed my eye and my contact lense just decided to pop out of my eye and I had to get someone to drive me home as I couldn't see, so I always carry a spare set wherever I go now.
19. Money purse etc
20. Phone
So you wonder how big my bag is, as its mostly carrying all the needs for my children and even when they are not with me I seem to be carrying it around still.
Maybe when they grow up il downsize
Summary: Great as I always know il be prepared

- 11/02/09 I know just how you feel! I have a drawer full of gorgeous bags that I just can't use because they're too small. The one I do use is overstuffed and horribly practical. Love my son but can't wait to get my bag back one day! |
