What's In Your Bag?

Advantages: Lucky Dip

Disadvantages: Very disorganised

My bag is a black Ted Baker one, that I bought on ebay for 99p. The picture and description on Ebay was rubbish, and so that's probably why no one else bidded for it and I got a bargain. The bag is immaculate and gorgeous, and is about 10 x 6 in size, with an over the shoulder strap.

The main thing that's in my bag is lots of receipts. This isn't because I am an obessed shopaholic as much I as I would love to be I can't afford it.

It's actually because every time I buy something I just stuff the receipt in my bag, and I have great intentions of emptying my bag regularly and shredding these (because of card details etc) but unfortunately this just doesn't happen as regularly as it should do.

It also contains my mobile phone, car keys, my purse, a mascara, lipgloss, lipsalve, body spray, a picture of my hubby and two kids, national lottery tickets (which I also check every couple of weeks - bad I know!) and a small plastic A5 wallet, where I store money off shopping coupons. I know this sounds a bit geeky but its amazing how much you can actually save.

My bag also currently contains a pack of 8 batteries, which I keep in there so they don't get used. I have two kids who have lots of noisy toys that use all the batteries, and if they used the cheaper ones that I buy constantly for that purpose it would be fine, but everytime I get a set of expensive Duracell ones (for tv remotes, my camera etc) the kids take them.

So... my new pack of batteries are currently residing in my bag until I think of a better hiding place.

One thing I do remember to do with bag about once a week is put my hand right to the bottom and tip the bag sideways and any stray coins that didn't go into my purse or the side pocket are collected. This is a bit of a lucky dip because generally I gain about 30p, but now and again there are a few pound coins down there so it's always a nice surprise.

Summary: I need to get better at emptying out by bag, but I guess I pigs will fly first
