Advantages: Big and useful

Disadvantages: Gives me shoulder ache!

At the moment, my bag collection consists of a mere two. Firstly, there's my 'work bag.' A black, Balenciaga-inspired tote from high street store Warehouse which often reminds me of Mary Poppins' bag in the film for its bottomless qualities. Next is my 'weekend bag,' a tan, cross-body satchel style whch is normally stuffed full of nappies (for my little boy, not me I hasten to add!)

So, I am going to talk about my work bag and it's contents.

Firstly, my purse. A current season, large paisely-floral number from Cath Kidston. A pressie from my husband and I love it! So bold and pretty. It contains about £11, some expenses receipts and a few money off coupons as well as debit and credit cards, driving licence, student card and the obligatory pics of son and husband.

Next my personal mobile phone. A pretty Sony Walkman W595. White with pink flowers (anyone sensing a theme?) It's pretty new and my ring tone is 'I've had the time of my life' from my favourite film ever, Dirty Dancing!

There are two big page-to-view diaries in there are the moment - 2009 and 2010. In my job, I often make appointments up to 8 weeks in advance hence the need for both at the moment. Both are from Paperchase and spiral bound with colourful cover designs.

Next, is my pencil case. I travel around for my job and was fed up of rooting for pens in the bottom of my poppins-esque back so I revisited my school days and purchased a blue, floral Cath Kidston pencil case! It contains a host of pens with various company logos, paper clips, my dongle, a digital voice recorder plus some redbush tea bags and a Maybelline water shine lip gloss.

Nestled somewhere in the bottom is my work phone. A really old, black and white screened Nokia. The kind that sell for £9.99 in Tesco. Nothing exciting to say about that at all.

Finally is my weapon of choice! A 4 hole punch which weighs a ton. I reckon I could knock someone out with one swoop so a dual purpose item really.

That's it, a pretty average, pretty predictable work bag! The contents don't ever tend to differ either other than the odd Rocky Robin, bottle of water or pack of chewing gum, all of which are notably absent today so I need to re-stock!

Summary: Pretty typical everyday contents
