Too many bags for me =S

Advantages: Lots of space in my bags, no carrying stuff when not needed
Disadvantages: Too many bags so that I don't know where
What's in my bag? Well for me that should read What's in my bags? I have way too many and can never keep up with what is in what bag.
In one I've got:
My university work,
Umbrella,
Pens,
Pencils,
Rubber,
Calculator,
Paper,
Loose Change,
Tissues &
Diary............ all of course kicking about loosely in a relatively large bag so when it comes to desperately needing that rubber or pen I can never find it.
In my hand bag however, I have:
Old till receipts,
Tissues,
Old shopping lists,
Loose Change &
A fold able bag for shopping.
Whilst all in all this sounds like I might not have as much as the average person my purse however flits between the two bags so it gets very complex in remembering where it actually is and often can end up getting into town to go shopping and remembering actually my purse is in my other bag... whoops.
Summary: Overall I need just the one bag so I don't loose thigns
