What's In Your Bag?
I don't often wear my bag on casual occasions but when I do, it's stack full of gaming gear, essentials and my own Otaku Survival Kit.
My bag includes these things:
- Nintendo DS
This is mainly for "on-the-go" gaming; it's a lifesaver when i'm on a train for hours or just downright bored and i'm nowhere near a computer. With the DS, I also bring a few multiplayer games such as Pokemon, Mario Kart and Animal Crossing because you never know when you're going to run into another DS-user. This has happened to me on many occasions and it's a great way to make some amazing friends and avoid being bored.
- Sketchbook (A4 and/or A3)
Depending on how bored I am and how long i'm outside for, I may want to draw whether it be a quick sketch on my A4 pad or a full drawing on my A3 pad. I use these for practicing my horrible environmental drawing skills and drawing various anime/manga characters.
With my iPhone being an iPod too, i use this nearly every time I go outside because it makes journeys quicker and there's nothing better than listening to your favourite band while walking around. I don't normally carry my phone around in my bag unless the clothing i'm wearing at the time has no pockets.
- My Otaku Survival Kit
With myself being an Otaku (somebody who is massively obsessed with manga, anime and general Japanese culture), I made my own Otaku survival kit which is a lifesaver at conventions.
Here's what it includes, first of all you need an appropriate medium-sized bag which can fit into your backpack and the ability to hold all of the items inside.
Next, you need some temporary use items which will only last you for one trip out and these include an Energy Drink of some sort (Monster, Rockstar or Relentless are recommended) and some Energy Bars (such as a Boost chocolate bar).
Now, you need some permanent items which will always be inside your kit, these include; a volume of a Manga of your choice which you can read so you don't get bored, spare spending money which is extremely useful at conventions since everything is overpriced but you still want to buy every item at every stall, a Pen so you can write down your username so other people can add you on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr and finally (if you have any), some trading cards such as Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh; however if you're not into that sort of thing, you can replace this with your DS and various games.
That's about it for my bag, I hope it's not too embarrassing.
Thanks for reading!
Summary: Best bag for any gamer!
