Advantages: No money worries

Disadvantages: Can't think of any negative ones!

As a stay home mum on a tight budget I often dream about winning the lottery-who honestly doesn't? Nobody buys a ticket for the sake of it- we all have that secret wish when we are watching the numbers come out that maybe this week it's our turn!
The maximum I have ever won is around the £40 mark and that was about 5 years ago! Yet every week my dad and myself share 2 lines of lucky dips(I would hate to know I was 'tied' to the same numbers every week- imagine if you didn't put them on and they were drawn?? That is my lottery nightmare!)

I sometimes allow myself to wallow in my little fantasy for a while of what I would actually do if I did win a significant amount of money, and to be honest, I don't know exactly what I would do long term!

First on the list would be for my hubby to hand in his notice at work- he is not incredibly happy there but in this age of job losses and credit crunching times it's not been sensible to change jobs...I'm sure the look on his face would be priceless to know he could follow his dream of being a pro cyclist full time(mmm... him dressed in lycra all day long...sorry just ended up in a different fantasy there!)

Next would be to pay off the mortgage and any debts. We only have a tiny one floor cottage and rather than move I would like an upstairs on my house! Ooh I'm getting giddy thinking about already!

My boys are mad on trains so I would have a little miniature railway in our garden with a little tunnel- think I would have to test that out quite a lot of course.

I would make sure my parents and family were taken care of as well-in fact I might have a large 'granny flat' built at the end of my garden for them (maybe with the train track going round it (!)

I would definately have more children-one of the holdbacks of having any more at the moment is money and space so there really would be no excuses and I might even get a little girl to add to my brood(but a house full of boys is okay too as long as they are healthy)

I'd give a large amount to charity especially Cancer Research UK. The disease has invaded my family's life in different ways over the years so if I could help in anyway to eradicate this awful disease then it's worth any amount of money.

Finally I would have a large party for all my friends and family and lots of alcohol to celebrate!

We can dream can't we..?

Summary: If only!!
