Advantages: No more debt.

Disadvantages: May casue problems with friendships.

With the recent TV coverage on the Euro lottery winners scooping 45 million pounds I thought I would drop a few thoughts down on what I would do with that kind of money.

Firstly I would sit down with a cup of tea and let the whole situation sink in. I would then pay off all mine and my family's debts immediately including mortgages. I would then consider if I would work again, I think yes, but only part time and doing something worthwhile. I would then move out of my flat and get a larger property in the countryside away from the city so I could have dogs. The next move would be to invest the money, whether that would be in property or savings I would have to seek advice on at the time.

After all the basics were taken care I would then treat myself. The first thing I would do is buy a hot air balloon and get flying lessons for it. It has always been a dream of mine to fly and this would help me to realise it. Secondly I would give a large donation to my local hospital and make a number of smaller donations to all my local charities. Thirdly, being a boy, I would have to buy a fast fancy car and build a track to race it on in my back garden!

It is difficult to say whether the money would make me happy, it would help, but I think I would get bored of living in excess, I think life is pointless unless you have things to strive and work towards. I think with money I would still have to strive towards a goal but rather than one giving to personal gain it would be for a greater good to benefit others.

Summary: Not really sure how it would affect me.

If I won £1 million I would give up work. If I won £100,000 I'd pay off the mortgage and work part-time. If I won £10,000 I'd put money in savings and have a nice holiday xx

I think for those who win and say "i'm not going to change a thing, i'm going to keep my job and car and house and just put it in the bank" they should take it all back off them and give it to people with imaginations!!
