Having recently returned from travelling in the 15th century I find myself asking: Is it right to burn witches?

As we all know, in modern times it's considered unsociable, even illegal in some counties, to persecute those who practice the dark arts and burn them at the stake but legal issues aside is it really the incorrect thing to do?

Consider the plight of the poor farmer who accidently invokes the ire of one of these witches? Should his livelihood suffer as his crops suffer from a pox delivered by the annoyed crone or should she be dragged kicking & screaming to a public place, ducked, shamed, beaten and burnt alive?

If you're a fan of free range eggs I think the answer is pretty obvious - Burn the witch & keep the crops.

However, in this modern age of political correctness gone mad you'll find those who believe that the random torture, assault & murder of women with warts is a bad thing.

You may think that witches are just the stuff of fairy-tales and folklore but please read on to my chilling account of an event that happened to me:

2 weeks ago I was walking down the street when an old woman with a cat looked at me a bit funny. 10 minutes later my left leg started to ache.

Co-incidence? I think not.

Yet when I returned to where the woman was meandering along the road and gave her a swift kick (with my right foot of course) it was I who was scowled at and berated by passers by. Not the witch but me! How far has society fallen?

It's getting to the point where I may even have to consider releasing my battery cleaning ladies from their pen for fear of police intimidation.

So what are your thoughts, Dooyoo community, should we be allowed to once again burn these devils made flesh or should we honest, God-fearing folk allow our values to be eroded even further and have to accept poor crops, warty women who own cats and achey legs?

Summary: Burn the witch!
