The best joke of last month was during David Letterman's monologue on his follow up to his extravagant sexual antics on the show backstage. He said that women are so pi**ed off with him right now that even his 'satnav' is not talking to him! I know how he feels. I love women but not all of them love me on dooyoo right now. In this op I will attempt to assess whether or not the most important change in Britain during the First World War was the increased status and independence of women in society.
