Advantages: Earn more and have more

Disadvantages: None as long as it is volentary

It should be ilegal for any employer to require an employee to work more than 40 hours per week as a pre-requisit to employment.

Having said that, what has it got to do with Goverment, the E.U. or any other organisation how many hours I or anybody works if they wish to do so and as long as they are paid for it.

Many small companies could not survive without staff working overtime. Work can be seasonable or irratic and it would not be cost effective to have extra staff doing nothing, just in case the company gets busy.

There are many families who would not own their houses or have holidays or enjoy many of the modern advances in technology if they were not allowed to work longer hours.

Summary: Why cant the Government leave us alone
