Hand on heart, I can honestly say that one of Adam Sandler's earliest efforts "Going Overboard" is not only the worst ever movie with him in but the worst movie ever made, FACT! The blame for this film should be put on Valerie Breiman, the director and co-writer of this horror. How this film was even approved to be made into a film is beyond belief. I bought this from Woolworths about five years ago noticing Adam Sandler starred in it and being a real admirer of his work decided to purchase it as it was only £2.00 thinking I couldn't lose and I would never regret spending it. How wrong I was! The whole production was shot on a cruise ship in New Orleans and was filmed on a camera with the wrong lenses (FACT) making the film even worse than it was. It begins with a struggling comedian who is down on his luck but his luck turns and he manages to get a minor job on a cruise ship which happens to be holding the Miss Universe Contest on board, (sounds bad enough already right?) well if that wasn't bad enough an array of mercenaries, thugs and terrorists attempt to raid the ship while Shecky Moskowitz (Sandler) uses the opportunity to prove his ability and get his break in the world of cruise ship standup.

Summing it up

Basically from what I have said, I am trying to make you aware of the worst film ever made and would recommend watching the first five minutes just to confirm what I have said but afterwards chuck the joke of a film away and never give it a thought again! Pathetic film and a total waste of time. I lent this film to a few friends and both of them came back to me and said it was terrible and they never thought that they would turn a Sandler film off after 10 minutes which speaks volumes about it. To conclude AVOID AT ALL COSTS as I assure you, not even the hardcore Sandler fans would enjoy it as it is that bad
