Disadvantages: Murder, ugly, no reason for it.

The short answer to this question is no. As for the why, well here goes..

Firstly, it's plain cruel.

Secondly, it's completely unnecessary.

Thirdly, there is nothing attractive about wearing fur. When I see people wearing fur, I do not think 'trendsetter', or 'luxurious... I think 'murder' and wonder how they have justified supporting such a disgusting practice.

Lastly, humans, as a global species seem to think everything on this planet is up for the taking. Resources are abused, animals are killed, not only for fur, but for meat production and animal testing, habitats are destroyed, and we never stop to consider the possibility that we're meant to coexist with other species. What gives us the right to kill them, eat them, wear them and destroy their homes? Some say it's our intelligence. If our intelligence is the only separating factor, we have a lot of thinking to do about our actions.

Summary: A completely unneeded industry.
