Advantages: Lets you easily connect to the world!

Disadvantages: a little pricey but well worth it!

The big brother that accompanies the xbox 360 console itself! I would simply class the xbox live service as the other half of the xbox experience! If you only have the console and not live then your seriously missing out!

Having an xbox live subscription opens up a whole new world to players and not just for games!

With the new dashboard update thats available, the xbox live service will now let you have conversations with your friends, watch movies and actually purchase games to name but a few on top of playing your friends and the world online!

Xbox live simply unites you as an individual player with the rest of the gaming world! Are you bored of the single player mode of your games? finding that multiplayer games against computers isnt challenging anymore? this is where xbox live steps in!

For an example we will use my most played games ever! (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warefare!) Probably the most played game on live ever! So how does xbox live do to make this a whole new experirence? Well once youve completed all of the solo player missions and not sure what to do next, xbox live allows you to play all sorts of missions with and against people from literally all over the world! And while youre doing so you can talk to them to make the experience even more realistic and thrilling!

Xbox live comes in two packages Silver and gold, They both allow you to connect to the service and talk to your chums but only the gold service will allow you to connect and play games together with the world and your friends.

The price of the subscription can change depending on where you purchase it but i would recommend purchasing it online from play.com where it currently retails at £34.99.

If you dont have it already then its definently worth a buy!
