I cannot believe there has not been a review written on my football team York City for 6 years.In that time there has been quite a few changes as the ground is no longer called Bootham Crescent it is called Kit Kat Crescent through a sponsorship by Nestle and Kit Kat that we needed to keep the ground and we got the money to keep this but once the sponsorship ends I hope it gets changed back to Bootham Crescent as the only thing we got was a few Kit Kats here and there and becoming a laughing stock of reporters and presenters alike. Now I haven't been a Minsterman all my life, no far from it in fact. Before December 2001 I had never been to the fortress that is Bootham crescent, and thinking about it, never seen them play in any capacity at all, not even on the tele. But on a cold Saturday in December that was all set to change. Me and the Bird, sorry, my lovely girlfriend and I were both rather bored on a Saturday morning and so decided to make the trek over to York from Leeds and watch some quality football, or failing that, go and see York play (boom, boom). With QPR waiting in the wing for my trip on Saturday, I figured I would add another one of my Away Trip reviews to this section. In fact, this is my first "request" review after one of the site users asked me to write it! Im touched. I have actually been to York City for the football on 3 separate occasions and every time have had a brilliant time. The Fans are brilliant, the town is lovely and its a really cheap weekend if you want to make it one.
