Advantages: Money, Money Money...its a rich Bens world

Disadvantages: moral conundrum eased by the wealth

When I first read the discussion review title about finding tomorrow's newspaper today my first thought would instantly be that the mushrooms picked in my mums garden yesterday and had in my spag bol were maybe of the magic kind as opposed to the edible-nice-with-spag-bol-kind, and the next thing if that were the case, I would find would be unicycling elephants singing the back catalogue of Lulu to me.

Once established that I wasn't on some hallucinating trip or a DeLorean DMC -12 was not going to fly into my driveway with a mad looking scientist and Marty Mcfly offering to take me 'back to the future'. My thoughts turned to the obvious financial gain that could be had from having tomorrow's newspaper.

Everything but everything would be sold, hocked, pawned, borrowed to be placed on any sporting event that a bookmaker would take my money. Due to the rise in gambling sites and what you can bet on I reckon I could raise enough stake money without stealing my parents carriage clock and Royal Doulton figurines from the mantelpiece and heading down Cash Converters to set myself and those around me up for life.. Everything would be bet on...horses,lotteries greyhounds, evictee of Strictly Come Dancing, raindrops down a window you name it,.... it would be bet on, with every penny i could muster.

Now the expose of my unashamed greed is out of the way, The subject of finding tomorrows newspaper does raise the serious issue of if you could prevent something bad happening where people could lose lives would you?. This is a difficult question to answer. On the one hand I believe in fate and that things happen for a reason, but if i knew there was going to be train crash on a train that I knew a friend or family member was going to be on, I selfishly would do my very best to dissuade them without them having committed me to the funny farm. Hypocritical I know, but honest.

There is an element of not messing with the natural course of events. Playing God for a day seems an awfully large amount of hard work. I mean, how does one persuade Aeroflot not to fly one of their planes to Uzbekistan because it is going to crash? Excuse me for being honest but give me an afternoon spent in the bookies watching Lucky Legs at the 3.40 at Kempton come in at 14/1 over trying to explain to Ivan not to fly his plane.

Finding tomorrow's newspapers for me, is all about lining my pockets and not saving the world. I'm no superhero, I've never got away with lycra anyway and as long as no friend or family is affected let Nature/God/Destiny ..Whatever you want to call it, do exactly what Betty Boo would do... and do the do.

Thanks for reading and if my next review is about the monster
yacht I have just bought you'll know that I did indeed find tomorrows newspapers...either that or those mushrooms werent right after all.

Summary: Finding Tomorrows Newspaper's.
