Advantages: Reminded me just how good life is!

Disadvantages: Probably pretty boring to anyone else!

Fancying a little self-indulgent time, I thought I would list the top 10 things in my life at this moment:

My son Jack - without doubt the most beautiful, awe-inspiring, most life affirming person in my life is my son. He is only 9 months old and I can genuinely say I have never felt love like this before - that may sound harsh on my wife but I have told her and she understands how I mean it!

My Wife - absolutely beautiful and I dread to think what kind of person I would be now if I hadn't met her!

Now onto the serious stuff!.......

My iPod - I have a hardcore love of music, I listen to my iPod during the 1 hour+ journey to work, all day at work and on the return journey home. If there's nobody home (or if I'm cleaning) I whack it on the speaker I treated myself to and blast out some Foo Fighters, or whoever's gig I am going to next!

Tea - Seriously, what's not to love about a good cup of tea! Pour the water, let it stew for 15/20 minutes, take the teabag out and add just a dash of milk. Strong but lovely!

My laptop - the hub of my life, the centre of all my music, a lot of my movies and thousands of photos as well as a way of keeping in touch with friends/family. As sad as it may sound, I dread to think what I would be like if I lost it!

My camcorder - it is only a fairly cheap model but, having a 9 month old son (see #1) to whom every minute of every day is like a learning adventure, I love to record as much of it as possible.

My digital camera - as above

Books - I love reading! Although I have favourite genres I will genuinely read anything - and will enjoy most of it! My wife and I have literally hundreds of books between us and we are always adding to the collection.

My job - although I hate my job for keeping me away from my wife and son for more than 12 hours of each day I am lucky enough to genuinely enjoy my job! It doesn't pay me a fortune (although I am fortunate to earn quite a bit over the national average) but I get enough to give my family a steady life, and most importantly I find it fascinating and I learn something new every day!

The internet - another 'sad' option. Whether it is Dooyoo, Facebook, e-mail, sport pages, media storage or just looking information up on Google, I really love the internet and, sadly, struggle to picture a day without using it!

As I mentioned above, this post is VERY self-indulgent but it has reminded me that I don't have a bad life and that all in all I am a very lucky man!

Cheers everyone!

Summary: A fun to write, self-indulgent post!

iPod, tea, laptop... a man after my own heart. Except for kids... couldn't ever inflict myself on a poor, unsuspecting child.
