**My Top Ten Places to travel to!**

This is a list of the top 10 travel destinations that I want to visit in the next 10 years. I am fascinated by travelling and love any programmes on the TV to do with them. I love Michael Palin's jaunts around the world. I do like to travel and visit new countries or destinations rather than going to the same place year in year out (with the exception of Zakynthos which I love). I hope to get to all of these places in my lifetime and suppose they would go on my bucket list of things to see before I die!

I have been lucky in my time so far and have visited lots of destinations already and particularly like visiting places with historical sites like the Pyramids in Cairo, Athens and the Parthenon, Rome and all its delights, Pompeii, The Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls. I also like my shopping trips and have been to lots of European cities and the US. I also love the beach too and have been on lots of relaxing beach holidays too which are still enjoy but I find I need some culture and sights thrown into the destinations to keep me interested whilst away. There is still so much more out there to see and so many exotic places awaiting my visit!

I have numbered them between now and the next 10 years and you never know I may get to them all in that time or it could take longer! If I get promoted or win the lottery it could be achieved sooner. I some of you may feel this could be a depressing review dreaming of places to go and while some may be dreams I will do my best to ensure I get to most of them if not in the next 10 years at least in my lifetime!

1) Year 1 -Venice in Italy. I have been to quite a few places in Italy already from Milan and Como to Sorrento and Rome. I haven't made it to Venice yet and would love to go and spend a few weeks in Lido de Jeslo to get a few weeks near a hot beach and pool and be able to dip in and out of Venice via boat to see all the historic delights. I am hoping to get here in the summer of this year!

2) Year 2 -Florida and the Keys - I have been to the USA a few times to Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York but I have never been to Florida. I have always wanted to go to Orlando and Disney since I was a child and although I have been to Disney in Los Angeles and Paris I believe the Florida one is the biggest and best to see. I would love to go to here for a few weeks and visit Orlando and all the theme parks then move on to Miami for some sun, fashion and partying. Then I would love to go off to the keys in a car for a quieter time as I have seen these small towns in films and on holiday programmes and they look like great places to visit. This would be doable in the next few years and maybe might get there for my next birthday!

3) Year 3 -South of France- and Monte Carlo. We have family in mid France so have been over to France quite a lot in recent years and I have been to Paris before. Although I have never made it to Nice, St Tropez or over to Monte Carlo. I want to see what all the fuss is about and enjoy a little extravagance in the food and night life! Maybe I could catch a train down from mid France to here next time I visit the relatives!

4) Year 4 - The Caribbean - I would love to visit any of the Caribbean islands but Barbados and Antigua seem to appeal more to me. I just love the idea of a nice few weeks on a far flung exotic destination with clear indigo waters. This might be a few years off after a few promotions!!

5) Year 5 -The Shetlands and Highlands -Well we live near the Borders but I have yet to make it this high up in the UK and would love to get there to see the beautiful scenery on offer. Fancy a little holiday cottage to enjoy the quietness and rural retreat on offer.

6) Year 6- Hawaii -I so wanted to go here when I went to Los Angeles but it was expensive to get to from there and we were only in Los Angeles for 10 days. Some of my family went here the other year and their photos and videos of the place were very appealing and I am still drawn to the place and want to visit. Again this may take a few promotions to get to it but it could mean I could visit Los Angeles and Las Vegas again as it's not too far away from the western coast of the USA!

7) Year 7 -Seville in Spain - I have been to Spain before and spent a lot of time in Barcelona but for some reason I have always wanted to go to Seville. I especially want to see the hidden Seville away from the tourist traps! This is doable in the next few years especially if Ryan Air do some good deals

8) Year 8 -Hong Kong and China and Japan- I have always been fascinated by Hong Kong and with it being part of China now it would make sense to visit both together and see the Great Wall of China. There are so many ancient wonders in China to enjoy and Hong Kong would have lots of electronic shopping bargains. The film Lost in Translation also made me fascinated about Tokyo in Japan and I think a few weeks in the summer holidays could allow me to see the main sights in Hong Kong, China and Japan! This is probably more achievable than my Australia and New Zealand dream!

9) Year 9 - Dubai - I am quite drawn to Dubai and although there aren't many historic sites attracting me to the country it seems to be one of those extravagant and exotic destinations. I want to go here and shop in the tax free malls and stay in the famous tall sail hotel that's costs thousands! My friend wants to go here to and see the racing as well as sunbathe on the nice beaches. This would have to be holiday not in the summer as that would be too hot. The only thing is with this destination is the heat and the desert but also its proximity to some hazardous countries and the shocking prices of flights and hotel prices. I think this may take me longer to achieve.

10) Year 10 -Australia and New Zealand- I have always been fascinated with down under and would love to save up enough money to spend the summer holidays visiting both Australia and New Zealand. I would love to go to Sydney and Melbourne and visit the outback. In New Zealand I fancy going to bathe in one of the local mud spas and natural beauty spots. There is so much to see in these two countries but I feel if I saved up enough 5-6 weeks would be enough to see the main attractions. This will probably be towards the end of my list.

Well that was my top 10 destinations to visit in the next 10 years. Hopefully I will achieve most of these if not all and it gives me something nice to daydream about! There are loads more destinations and countries I would love to go to and my job allows me more time to be able to get to these places just a shame it doesn't supply me with loads of wonga to visit them all and in first class style!

Summary: My top ten destiantions to travel to in the next 10 years

Good luck with your list ;) I found Key West a little strange- very busy and touristy during the day, but after dark all the wino's came out begging.
