Right I have been fairly into games ever since as long as my hands have fit around the control pad, I have liked some really cheesy ones, such as crazy golf on the ZX Spectrum (A computer that although cassette based, was well ahead of it's time, I somehow do not think lol). I have also liked some strange games that don't often get mentioned in these reviews from what I have read so far anyways.

What you will find with me is that I tend to dislike the games and consoles that most people (excuse the French here) bone off, such as the Playstation, and the PS 2, I just feel that although they produce hundreds of games, that too many of them quite frankly just isn?t that good, I feel that the Dreamcast is an excellent console, but it just never got the recognition it deserved, as was the case for the Nintendo 64. However, I will try and make this opinion fair and not just linger around those 2 consoles. Enjoy!

PS. I don't intend on boring people with technical terms in this op, this is just what made these games so high in my rankings and that?s it, no more no less!

10/ Alien 3 - Mega Drive.
This game for me was superb, guns, gore and Sigourney weaver in pixelated form, fair enough, nothing to write home about graphically, but the game was just excellent fun to play. The controls were very easy, and the weaponry was just class with the guns from the film, the highlight of course was the flame thrower, but then it always will be hehehe. The game basically takes you through the film, rescuing hostages, and bludgeoning alien scum, the pulse rifle was always a good weapon, simply because of the noise and the blood that it caused to come out of the aliens when you hit them, or is that just me being ill minded?

09/ Mortal Kombat 1 - Mega Drive
This to me is still the daddy when it comes to beat em ups, I managed to complete this one on more than one occasion without losing a single life, and that to me was an incre
dible feat, although I dare say someone will now inform me that they won it will all of the characters doing the same, whereas I only managed it with Kano, my personal favourite. The fatalities were superb, I love the fact that Kano ripped their heart out and held it up as a trophy, to me that just hit the spot as a kid hehehe, and yes a morbid side of me is definitely showing in this review. I did used to like using Rayden, but although most of my mates thought he was the don, I couldn't stand Liu Kang, I just thought he was a wuss lol. The only real downfall with this game is that so many sequels were released that it got a tad boring after the second game, although I still love the first simply because it offered the better of the competition between Kombat and Street Fighter 3.

08/ Gran Turismo - Playstation
Although I do dislike the PS in general, this game is something of a revolution in how car games were looked at instead of just racing games, this game took car racing into the stage of modding up cars and competing in tournaments in order to gain money for buying better cars in every department. It was a strange phenomenon for me to like a Playstation game, although I have to say I did really enjoy this one, and wished like crazy that they would release it on the Nintendo 64, something that I regret never occurred. I always had a liking for the Mitsubishi GTO, but to be perfectly honest I think nearly everybody did, as it was the best car to "do up", although the handling was absolutely atrocious lol. I do like the newer versions of the game, in many ways I like them more than the first, however, they just aren't the original, even though GT 2 has the minis in it which are absolutely class.

07/ WWF Warzone - Nintendo 64
This is an uncharacteristic game for me simply because I prefer to watch the wrestling that play it, and also, I hate button bashing, which is what I inevitably end up doing on these games b
ecause I can't be bothered learning the combos in order to succeed the usual way. I did manage to use the excellent training facility to learn a couple of the basic moves although to learn some of the more difficult ones would have taken effort, and to me having to do that really makes me lose interest in games, unless of course they are skills which actually are worth learning, such as in headhunter on the Dreamcast, you need to learn to break the enemies neck by creeping up on them, which makes stealth a far easier thing to accomplish!

06/ Headhunter - Dreamcast
This is a game that I have only recently been able to play properly, although I have played it at a friends on many occasions, my girlfriend got me this one for my birthday recently, and I have to say I was over the moon when she did. There is just so much to this game, I feel it is superior to metal gear solid, and part of the reason behind this is that it is nowhere near as enclosed and the camera angles are far better throughout the game. The motorbike is brilliant, you get to move around the various districts on a mean looking superbike as you look to take out the syndicate terrorist organisation. A superb game that requires stealth and down right balls in parts in order to take on some of the ultra tough bosses, all out to take down the number one headhunter of the lot. YOU!

05/ Sonic Games in General - Sega Consoles
From Sonic 1 right through to sonic adventure 1&2 on the Dreamcast, of which I have recently completed, the sonic games have always been synonymous with class in my eyes, I loved the first sonic, and sonic 1 on the master system all those years ago, but I could never finish them, however, I seem to have found a niche with the newest incarnations on the latest machines, I think it is because of the sheer speed of play is something I can get my claws into lol. I think that now sonic has gone 3D it has added a whole new dimension to the game (pun not inten
ded), the additions of knuckles and shadow and the likes, are all welcome as the games now are far larger in size and lastability, great games all round.

04/ Perfect Dark - Nintendo 64
You are Joanna Dark, the female version of a certain James Bond basically, she is tough, quick and loves guns, what a woman hehehe. This game has so much more than goldeneye ever did as far as things to do and graphical content, but for some reason I still prefer goldeneye, there is just something about that game that will always be special to me! I seem to have a thing about first levels that make an impression, and this game has one, it is fast, loud, explosive and you can play it till the cows come home and not get bored of it. The sniper levels are excellent like the Carrington villa, were your first job is to take out opposing snipers, absolutely brilliant with easily the furthest zoom on any sniper rifle I have ever used in a game! Joanna is the Nintendo equivalent basically to Lara Croft, not quite as sexy (as computer generated characters go), but not bad none the less lol. A truly class game and totally original, same idea as bond, but with a totally new theme and story!

03/ Turok 2 - Nintendo 64
This is quite simply one of the best games of all time, massive levels, superb weaponry (the cerebral bore is just plain gruesome, boring through the enemies head until it reaches brain tissue, at which point it explodes), the enemies are highly intelligent, making them more fun to kill. There is so much to this game it is beyond belief and this review simply would not do it justice. The multiplayer is nothing special, but the single player more than makes up for this. The graphics are incredible for the 64, and they are even better with the expansion pack. You really have to play this game if you own or have access to an N64 then you really should at least try this game, and you will see what I mean when I say that for an N64 game it is unreal!

02/ Championship Manager (All Games)
The only PC game in my selection has to go to the one and only Championship Manager. I have already reviewed this game separately so I will spare you the complications of the game. This is quite easily recognised as the biggest and best football management game of all time, the entire series of games in fantastic, with each out doing the last. The layout is easy, and the lastability is easily the best I have ever played. A few years on and I am still playing the newest version, with intentions of buying the new one when it comes out! I always go s Liverpool, well as my main team anyway, I do like to have a go as other teams, but it doesn't quite feel the same as leading your boyhood team to champion?s league glory, or for the three lions of England to once again win the world cup. The entire game is based on the fact that every season is different, for example, David Beckham now plays for Brighton on mine at the ripe old age of 35, and he is appalling, you have to buy big and buy small, building the youngsters up from nothing to greatness, and then making money from the lesser players to fund your end of season spending spree. This is truly the most addictive game I have ever played, and my addictiveness rating on the game (currently: 4 days, 18 hours, 24 minutes and 47 seconds, and I am being told by the game to remember to go to work hehehehe). Like I say this game is not one to be taken lightly, once all of the worlds current stars start to get too old the computer generates new ones and reserve players that you must train up and create as the stars of the future. A truly remarkable game all round.

01/ Goldeneye - Nintendo 64
This to me personally is the greatest game of all time, it is the one game I have ever played that I really have not wanted to stop playing, even champ man can get tedious at times, but goldeneye holds strong. Perhaps dated now, especially since perfect dark was the s
equel and was an improvement in many respects, it didn't quite have the sheer quality and style that bond has. He possesses style that reflects even in the game, and his way with the enemies is class, the game is quite basic by today?s standards, but for a long while it was the only game I had on the 64, and it has always been my favourite. From the first time I played this on my neighbours console I loved it, it was my first real first person shooter experience on a console, I had played quake and doom before, but for me this just took that to a whole new world of gaming. The game is mission based and for the time the graphics were excellent. The enemies are semi intelligent, and earning cheats was a new one on me, the whole idea of accomplishing levels in certain times to gain cheats was excellent, the paintball and DK modes were particular favourites!

Anyways, this has been a fun trip down gaming memory lane for me. I love playing computer games, and I always will. At the moment I want either a gamecube or an x box, although I will wait until their prices drop, let?s face it who honestly wants to pay 40 quid a game eh? Hope you enjoyed the op, cheers for the read chaps. Later
