Neff S5555X0GB ... guys did not consider it's usage. As this is an integrated appliance the buttons and display are usually covered by the worktop, so you cannot see them. So what would be the use of the display if it is hidden during the cycle? I think this is where the floor light comes in as it is on during the cycle so you don't inadvertently open the door during a cycle. There is only one thing I have to note on this appliance that I don't like and it is the end of cycle notification. It is a series of bleeps, I think 3 or 4 beeps within 30 seconds of each other which is fine if you are awake. Hotpoint FDW60 ... he said he would (always a major bonus). He was friendly and helpful and plumbed the machine in for me and took all the rubbish away with him! The machine works really well and is nice and quiet too. Actually it is so quiet that when we first had it my partner and I were not sure if it was actually on and we both stood (comedty fashion) bent over with our ears near the machine! The machine has lots of different settings including normal, pre-wash (very useful for very dirty dishes) and intensive. Beko DWD4310 ... ~~~ The product guidelines advise you to select a pre-wash programme before using the machine for the first time to remove any excess water which may still be in the machine following production testing etc. The product guidelines also advise you to add 1 litre of water to the salt container before the first wash.
