... needed a new dishwasher and it had to be a built in for our new kitchen also it had to be cheap. We have had a freestanding Bosch which was excellent. We needed to use the dishwasher straight away before the work top was fitted and before the door was fitted to the dishwasher. This was a problem. Hotpoint FDW60 ... remember when dishwashers came on to the market how expensive they are and now how cheap they are, i purchased the hotpoint dishwasher a while ago , when i first purchased it i used all the time and used various detergents which i might add cost a lot of money, then i found it takes so long to load and unload that i went back to washing up , i now only use my dishwasher when i have guests round. dishwashers are said to be good for cleaning as you cant wash up yourself in the water that hot so in this respect are very good but i find it very time consuming. the other problem i found was trying to fit everything in so i found my self doing a couple of loads. on the happy ... Smeg DWF410SS ... have had this dishwasher for about 4 years now and it is still going strong. We picked it for its good looks and slim design, with there only being the 2 of us it seemed ideal and we wanted something that would lastg and Smeg have a good reputation for building good quality appliances. The cutlery rack is great as compared to some others I have used you don t loose your teaspoons through the bottom and the collapsable rack for plates on the bottom means you can also do large pans and roasting dishes as well. We also haven t noticed a substantial rise in our elrctricity bills since getting it. The only thing now is the display keeps showing bizarre things occasionall... Smeg DF410 ... are a great brand and this dishwasher is just as good as there other appliances. The black colour definitely looks good as the traditional white can sometimes get boring. It is also slim giving it a much more modern look. First and most important this is an A rated dishwasher across the whole board: Energy Rating, Wash Performance and Drying Performance. This is obviously encouraging and it definitely shows when you re using it. In terms of space, this dishwasher has been very efficient. It has 10 place settings and there is room for a lot of things.
