Hotpoint is definitely a name i trust, and will purchase again every time. I bought my dishwasher 12 year's ago, and have relied on it ever since. It cost alot more to buy when i had mine, as it was so long ago, when they were fairly new out. There are so many different makes you can buy now, but i chose to go for hotpoint. The reason, simple, they give you a 1 year guarantee part's and labour, plus another 4 year's part's, you cant beat that without paying for extra warranty. My machine is very simple to use, obviously you need a cleaner, you also have a choice with that. You can buy a powder, a liquid or tablet's, i choose to use powder. You also need a rinse aid, but as you need to use powder every time you do a wash, once you have filled the rinse aid chamber you will have an indicator to tell you when to refill it. You will also need to put dishwasher salt in but not that often unless you live in a hard water area. On my machine i have pre-wash, wash, rinse, dry on the left with an indicator to tell you where the cycle is at any particular time, on the right i have pre-wash, quick-wash, economy-wash, normal-wash, super-wash then all i do is select what wash i want on the right turn the left knob one click and my dishes, cutlery and pan's are being washed. The cycle takes about an hour but dont open the door whilst it's going as it doesnt stop and you will get a steamed facial. Maybe the newer machines do stop their cycle if you open the door.Well worth getting one mine has paid for itself over and over.
