... I said on Monday my new dishwasher came. I ordered a Beko 5410S the S being for silver. I really wasn t to worried what I got white or silver as long as I didn t have to do the dishes any longer!! I ended up with the silver as this could be delivered on the following Monday or a 3 week wait for the white one. It cost me £20 more for silver though!! CDA WC360 ... bought this washing machine with our new kitchen off the independent kitchen fitter, it cam with a years guarantee. after a couple of months the programm started beeping and dishwasher not washing pots effectively, then it stopped emptying too. we got an engineer out to it, and not only had the pump failed, but it had flooded a computer part (which was cuasing the beeping). we got the parts free as it was under guarantee, but had to pay for labour - fair enough but after a couple of months this was a bit rough. we hten managed witht eh dishwasher, used regularly twice daily and maintained properly for another approx 12 months and the same poroblem again, pump failed an... Bosch SKT5102GB ... bought this kind of dishwasher when there was a 50 pounds discount on it. It is small enough to fit my kitchen. As I cook every day for 4 of us, I have to start it 3 times in two days on average. I wash glasses, plates and dishes in it. I prefer washing the cutlery myself. I am satisfied with it, it is powerful and always washes the dishes clean. I use salt to soften the water. This is a basic thing for washing the dishes clean! There are several types of water softeners for dishwashers, I prefer that one which is made of small crystals or granules to pure powder. Zanussi ZSF6126 ... I must admit we didn t choose this dishwasher it chose us! Unfortunately a couple of years ago we had a little fire in our old Zanussi dishwasher! I opened it in the morning and all our what should have been clean plates were black! it must have run out of oxegyn before taking hold I m glad to say. Needless to say we claimed on insurance as it was an accident, we think something plastic dropped onto the heating element which drys the dishes after they ve been washed and caught fire.
