... AEG apliance I have owned. Both have broken down just out side warantee requiring service technician to come and change £5 part in 5 min at a cost of a service charge of £95. Washed dishes ok untill it broke down. Parts can be found on the web at reasonable prices (sort of) but no instructions on fixing yourself can be found. Overall I dont think I would choose AEG again. AEG Favorit 50830 ... Don t think you will save money or get any joy out of this lemon. It doesn t wash dishes, for a start. It only rinses them, so you can wash it all by hand anyway. Enjoy getting your hands cut extracting steak knives from the puny, flimsy cutlery basket. Have a ball with one technician after another telling you they can t get the parts when the machine conks out totally after sending you crazy for 2 years.... AEG Favorit 64070VIL Dishwasher ... the course of my kitchen being refurbished I was looking for an integrated dishwasher. I happened upon the local Fenwick Ltd Warehouse sale and came upon this huge bargain. This AEG model is normally priced at 558 pounds and I got it for exactly half of that. It was still in it s original sealed packaging and ended up in the warehouse due to a customer order that had fallen through . I have a couple of other AEG household appliances so had no hesitation in buying this one. AEG Favorit 5041 ... We looked round 5 different electrical shops - Lincoln Co Op, Comet, Currys, Scottish Power an Downtown. Looking at the ranges now available, it seemed a daunting task at first! But we soon learnt which were the good ones and which were the bad. We had several biased opinions of brands from different shops, but after reading product brochures we decided we liked ranges from Zanussi, Bosch, AEG and Miele. First we looked at the Miele - too expensive. Then the Bosch - didn't like the layout of baskets.
