“ Brand: Beko „
We've not had a dishwasher before and was actually against them until we bought a house where the previous owners left one plummed in and we had two kids. Cue dishwasher dependency.
Fast forward 3 years later and the (very old) dishwasher packs up and we're forced to get another ASAP.
My husband measured the gap and found that many compact/slimline dishwashers would fit. As a family of 4, we don't feel the space is slimline as the dishwasher does us fine.
Having a Beko fridge and having many recent dealings with the fantastic services of appliances online, finding a Beko dishwasher on offer with them (under £200 delivered) sealed the deal. It arrived promptly when expected and my husband had no issues plumbing it in.
The dishwasher looks very contemporary and has few dials and buttons for my 1 and 3 year olds to mess with. It has two racks and holds a good amount of plates and other items and has a large cutlery basket. We run the dishwasher on average once a day or often twice every three days if we're working and therefore just having 'shove in the oven' food (less pots and pans). It is much quieter in comparison to our old dishwasher and I like the fact it is stated to be very energy efficient. It is simple to use - just turn the dial to one of the wash cycles and press start. The same button will stop and cancel the cycle if you wish. There is an on/off button also.
The four cycles are (temperatures in degrees Celsius)
1. Rapid 35
2. Eco 50
3. Quick and clean 60
4. Intensive 60
I think these options cover most cycles people would want to use, however, I would have liked a rapid option at 45 or 50 degrees. Only because I'm a microbiologist and know that some food poisoning organisms have a peak growth at around 40 degrees, so I would never use the 35 degree cycle. I'm aware of the environment too so dislike using the 60 degree option as feel it's a bit hot (this cycle takes 45 minutes- an hour ish). So we usually use the eco option and this takes about an hour and a half (still better than our old one which took over 2 hours!!).
The wash doesn't just depend on the dishwasher of course, but also the tablets used but with just cheapies from home bargains or aldis, my dishes come out very clean.
Extremely pleased for such a great price.
