One of the little creature comforts of the modern life I really appreciate, is having a dishwasher. It is just so nice to be able to pack all those dirty plates away, shut a door, press a button and forget about it.

I had a slimline dishwasher before, but felt it was just never enough to handle the family's dishes, and invested in the Bosch Logixx SMS69L. This is a up to 14 place setiing dishwasher, and can certainly handle a lot.

The dishwasher is white or silver in colour, frontloading, and has the following dimensions: (H)84.5 x (W)60.0 x (D)60.0. I cant comment on the ease of installation, as that is the bit I normally leave over to hubby, but he reported no difficulties (so I will take his word for that).

The dishwasher has a LCD Control panel, that you control by light touch only, and I found it easy to select the necessary programmes, and was soon able to get a hang of it.
The dishwasher has 6 programmes, including a pre-rinse, quick wash (29 minute), and a half load, and can wash at 5 different temperatures.

What impressed me a lot was the absolute silence at which it operates. Furtehrmore the space is obviously remarkable as well. You have what they call the Vario drawer, in which you place cutlery, and smaller items. It takes a few more seconds to spread them out, as compared to my old washer where I just popped it in a standup basket. It has the 3 step Rackmatic height adjustable upper basket, and takes smaller plates in the upper and bigger plates in the lower basket.

It also has other unique features such as a 1-24 hour time delay, a special anti-flood device as a safety feature, a zone wash option and an auto 3in1 detergent detector (which means it adjusts the temperature throughout the cycle to give you optimum activation of the detergents.

It is also energy rating A, which is important in these credit crunch days. Furthermore it is also A reated in wash and dry performance.

I am very impressed with the perfromance of this dishwasher. It washes extremely well, and dries just as I would hope a dishwashe to do. You can pack away the dishes straight from the washer. I have found that even the more grubby oven dishes were not much of a challenge, but I wold recommend giving them a bit of a rinse beforehand. Add to that the space inside, and the silence at which it operates, and this really is a fantastic alrround dishwasher!

It retails at around £420 (bit more ofr the silver finish), but shop around as I have now seen it for lower deals.

This is just the best gift any busy mom can hope for!
