Advantages: So many programs and so little time

Disadvantages: Maybe a bit pricey

When I was a kid I use to think that a dish washer was magic, I just thought that you put your plates in the dishwasher dirty and they come out clean with no problems, well now I'm older I know that is not the case, let me tell you a story.

I had some friends over for a Sunday roast and it was great, after we had eaten we just sat there drinking wine and catching up, well when we finally got to clearing away the dishes we put them from the table to the dishwasher, put on a cycle and away it went, when it had finished there was still food stuck on the plate, I was later made aware that we needed to run them under the sink to loosen the tougher foods then put them in the dishwasher...doh!

The Bosch Logixx SMS69L is all white in colour (the only other colour that is available is Silver) and the measurements are 85 (Height) x 61 (Width) x 60 (Depth), the front of the dishwasher is a very plain looking front with nothing that really grabs you or is flashy in any way, along the top in the middle is the handle that opens the dishwasher door with "Bosch" written on the hand grip and a digital display screen above the hand grip that tells you what program you are using on the dishwasher.

There are quite a few programs to choose from that will suit your need including a quick wash, Pre-rinse (which I don't understand why you would have that option), Half load, Delay Timer Function- which allows you to set your dishwasher on a timer to run up to 19 hours after you set it and Half loads also The dishwasher baskets can be lifted or lowered depending on what you are washing, for example if you have bigger pots on the bottom basket then you lift the top basket higher, taller wine glasses in the top basket then you lower the top basket (a nice little feature not all dishwashers have), other features include- anti-flood device, a zone wash option, 3-1 detergent detector.
For such a little dishwasher it provides such a powerful performance but not using powerful energy or water.

This dishwasher is absolutely quiet and doesn't disrupt the silence if you are for example reading a book and further more the Bosch only uses 13 litres of water, yet it still gives you the power of a bigger model with a perfect performance for washing drying and energy saving, and is a lot better for the environment.

You can load quite a fair bit into this dishwasher, even though it may look small you would be surprised how much stuff you could get in there if you put them in properly and not just put them in any old how, it states that you can put in a 12 place setting but if done correctly you can get in 14 and it will still clean effectively.
While your dishwasher is on a cycle it will make you aware by informing you on the display screen at the front of what it's doing and how long it will take, There is also a function which reads "glass protection system in progress" don't be freaked out or worried, it's doing something to help glasses (now if it says glass smashing system in progress then you can panic).
If you open the door during a cycle everything will stop, like a safety cut off valve that once you close the door again will start up, but while the door is open the display panel will tell you to close the door so it may resume cycle.

You can get the Bosch Logixx SMS69L from:

John Lewis £619.00
Red Hill Appliance £512.00
Electro Centre £ 497.95

So as you can see they vary in places, but the usual price is around £450.00

Final Thought

I think this is a great Dishwasher and Bosch definitely live up to the reputation of being the best brand in their field, just remember that if you are going to wash dishes that have been sitting there for a while you might want to run it under the hot water so the residue comes of in the dishwasher.
Being one of the best dishwashers out there it is a definite buy, it is a bit pricey but you can probably shop around and get it slightly cheaper but I don't think it will be by much.
This really delivers the results that I want and expect from my dishwasher.
I find that if you want plates to come out squeaky clean with no residue or anything from the food that was on there, then you would have to put the dishwasher on as soon as you put the plate in, and if the dishwasher is already empty and its only you that's eaten then your not going to turn it on for one plate are you?
Only restaurants can fill up a dishwasher at the drop of a hat.
For me this is 10/10

Summary: regardless of the price this is a great dishwasher for the family
