This is a brilliant time and effort saver if you are a single person household and have enough kitchen space for it - and in my view worth every penny of the cost, which is very high proportionate to full size dishwashers.
It's size is about as large as an old fashioned draining board, so you either need to permanently give it space on a worktop close to the taps, or place it on a shelf in a cupboard under the sink or close to the water supply. Mine is on a shelf in the base unit adjacent to my sink unit and the plumbing has been done just as if it was a full size dishwasher by plumbing it to the mains for the inlet and to the undersink waste pipe for the outlet instead of attaching it to the sink taps. If there was worktop space this dishwasher would be ideal for someone who has difficulty bending to load, reach inside or empty a normal floorstanding dishwaasher
In operation I have found it to be very quiet and very good at getting things clean provided they are packed sensibly so that the water can get at every surface. For economy I've mainly used the fastest programme and occasionally the rinse programme if not enough dirties have accumulated after 24 hours. Because of its width the dishwasher can take larger items than a slimline dishwasher - which I had at my previous home. So it swallows up a 10" frying pan with glass lid and the glass plate from the microwave. They all come out sparkling. The cutlery holder can be moved around to suit the load and there is a small upper rack which is convenient for long utensils and odd small items. As with any dishwasher it's best to remove the worst of the grease beforehand. The salt and rinse aid are easy to fill and the indicators are easy to read for top ups.
As it's capacity is so much smaller than a conventional dishwasher, all the fancy tablets are too large - only a small amount of dishwasher powder is needed.
Mine is still too new to report reliability - less than 12 months use, but I have a friend with a secondhand one which he has used 3 times a day for nearly 5 years problem free.
Summary: wonderful for busy or housework allergic singles
