Seeing our last machined decided to pack up 1 day after Boxing Day. Bosch SGS 43C12 ... SGS43C12GB I bought one of these to replace a old Hotpoint dishwasher which was about 20 years old. I m a little disapointed in it because I was hoping for something a lot quieter. It s a basic machine with a electronic controller. It works fine and is well built. The trays are well set out and slide in and out easily. The door opens and closes smoothly. But despite this I think I prefered my old rusty dishwasher. The main disadvantage of the electronic controller is the lack of any indication about how much time is remaining for the wash. Bosch SGS43A52GB ... was, we resolved to buy one. Now I am not renowned for profligacy in my family (I once dropped a five pence piece and it hit me on the back of the head as I bent to pick it up), but we knew that we would need a good quality machine from a good quality make. Having consulted with such luminaries of the dishwasher world in my family, namely mum, brother Stu and Auntie Marje, we decided that Bosch was best. We didn't buy our machine through what you could call normal retail channels.
