Advantages: Good price, easy to install.
Disadvantages: You have to practically wash the dishes first to keep the machine happy (bless it)
I've had this dishwasher now for just under a year and generally speaking I've been pretty impressed with it.
Until now.
Now we all know that appliances go wrong from time to time so I wasn't completely horrified when this happened to me.
(The dishwasher appeared to get "stuck" on it's cycle and would constantly just rinse the dishes). I called the engineer and described the fault.
As soon as he turned up he was quite sure he knew what the problem was without even looking at it - the heater element had food stuck to it.
Now I always believed that the removable filter (which of course should be regularly emptied/cleaned) was there to prevent any items passing into the system. The answer I got was to rinse everything before putting it into the machine.
Don't get me wrong, I ALWAYS clear the plates of food but surely the whole point of a dishwasher is to wash the dishes!!!!! So if I have to rinse all the dishes before putting them into the machine then I'm going to be rather annoyed at buying it.
Let's just say I'm glad that I took out a 5 year extended guarantee because I think I'll be needing it......
(Apart from that - the usual review - lots of storage inside, washes dishes well etc...)
