Advantages: size,price,ease of use
Disadvantages: a bit noisy
Everything in our flat has a name so we don't call everything 'thingy' or 'whatsit'. If I say 'please load up Richard' before you go to bed, my husband knows it's the dishwasher that wants sorting out. There was a Richard Gere film on TV the first night we used it.
There was no room for a full size dishwasher, so this was the ideal solution, and anyway it's perfectly adequate for a full day's worth of washing up for two, even though I work at home and generate loads of tea and coffee mugs. If we have visitors, we just run two loads - it's quick enough if a bit noisy.
Loading the baskets can be tricky if you have a lot of pots and pans that don't sit in the racks properly and don't want them to rattle together.
Provided the little trapdoor opens with the tablet in, the machine washes perfectly. It isn't fussy about what detergent tabs to use. We give it a run with a dishwasher cleaner about every two weeks to keep it smelling sweet.
There are few things that won't fit or won't wash properly, just really big items like the wok or my huge Le Creuset pan that I use for risotto and paella. They are better dealt with by hand anyway.
We chose it against the other slimline dishwasher that John Lewis had based on price. We are now used to the noise and now Richard lulls us to sleep each night!
