Advantages: thorough washing, no odour problem, easy to use
Disadvantages: none
I have been the proud owner of this dishwasher for over 18 months now, and as a continuation of my last two dishwashers I am soooo... impressed. Let me tell you a little about it...I perviously owned both an indeset and a bosh dishwasher...the first on I bought fairly reasonably second hand. And despite being in great condition and less than 12 months old broke after 5 short months, the catch broke and the dispenser flap then finally the heating element. It also spent most of its time smelling like a sess pit even after regular use with cleaners and freshners. It was supposed to be a 12 setting washer but i could fit no pans in it and struggled to fit a full 6 settings in due to the rack arrangement. The second of my dishwashers was just as unsuccesfull and having purchased it new for a heap of money found I could fit more in ,b ut alas 18 months was all it survived and again the smels were a problem. Now I do use my washer very extensively and having a family of 5 with non stop meal time visitors I load it fully and wash upto 4 times a day. I aslo work as does my husband and with 3 young children my time is precious and sparce for hosehold duties, although I do enjoy a nice clean home. Which also brings me to the point of how wonderfully clean the pots are left after coming out of a dishwasher...germ free!! (hopefully) Well I guessed third time lucky...consulted my bank balance and went shopping...... After a could research and shop arround I came accross the zanussi and at around £220 felt it was a sound buy. I can stack pots from 7 places AND the pans and mugs galore all at the same time, and at the price equivalent to only 2/3 of that previously paid I figured a safer betif it were only going to survive a year or two. Now the results...18+ months on and it is still going strong...wash time less than previously, pots cleaner than ever, easier to load due to great racking system...room for
even my larges pans and bowls and bettr yet...not a single smell, not even slightly yet I am not permenently using fragranced detergents etc. And it still looks as new as the day I bought it. Even the catches etc are much more substantial than on other models and therefore more durable. The only downside to any dishwasher as I can see it is that you still have to load/unload them and as I use mine so much and for so many I need a heap of plates/dishes etc. If this model only lasts me anothe 12 months a..at the rate I use it I recon at normal rate use it is equivalent to at least 6 or 7 years hard labour..so yes I will buy another one exactly the same. So if you are looking for a great bargain and a labour saving device then go ahead ...treat yourself, you wont be sorry I promise. Oh yeah and silly me...I forgot to mention to use it is easy...one dial with clearly marked prgrams..and an on/off button. So simple even I can use it!! (so my hubby says) he he he
